Fast, compact protocol converter for all devices with serial interface

The new UNIGATE Falcon series connects devices such as automation components to the desired Industrial Ethernet standard or fieldbus via their serial interface. The RS232, RS485 and RS422 interfaces are integrated as standard.

Communication between the serial port and the bus is done either by configuring the unit and selecting a common protocol such as Modbus ASCII, Modbus RTU (master or slave), 3964 (R) (e.g. for RK512) or alternatively by controlling the unit via a script for protocols.

This script is created with the free PC tool 'Protocol Developer' and offers you the greatest possible flexibility for complex tasks. You decide whether you want to program it yourself or commission Deutschmann Automation to do so.

The connection for the configuration and the programming of the device is made via a USB port.

The new UNIGATE Falcon series is available as a DIN rail module according to IP20. The very slim and compact device even allows the installation in a sub-distribution. All modules for the different bus variants have identical mechanical construction, so they can be used flexibly or exchanged without additional effort. This makes it possible to supply the terminal units with any desired bus for optimal integration into the environment.

Another feature is the integrated service functions, which can be called up via a button on the front of the unit. For example, a hardware reset or a factory reset can be carried out without any additional equipment.

Another unique feature already known from the protocol converter UNIGATE CL is brand labelling. Deutschmann offers you in the customized presentation not only the possibility to pre-configure the device and to choose in different housing colours but also to attach your logo.
