Fast / Compact / Flexible UNIGATE FALCON protocol converter/gateway series

The new UNIGATE FALCON series connects devices such as automation components to the desired Industrial Ethernet standard or fieldbus via their serial interface. The RS232/RS485/RS422 interfaces are integrated as standard.
Communication between the serial connection and/or Industrial Ethernet/fieldbus takes place either by configuring the device or with a script.
Standard protocols such as Modbus ASCII, Modbus RTU (master or slave), 3964 (R)  and others can be configured accordingly via the web interface of the UNIGATE FALCON.

Scripts can be created with the free PC software tool 'Protocol Developer'. A script offers the greatest possible flexibility for complex tasks and also enables the implementation of proprietary protocols, for example. Own scripts can be developed on the basis of the available template scripts. Deutschmann Automation also offers the creation of scripts as a service.
The new UNIGATE FALCON series is available as a DIN rail module to IP20 or as an embedded version for direct integration into existing end products. The very slim and compact device can even be installed in a sub-distribution board. All modules for the different bus variants have an identical mechanical design and can therefore be used flexibly or replaced without additional effort. This makes it possible to supply the end devices with any desired bus for optimum integration into the environment.

Another feature is the integrated service functions, which can be called up via a button on the front of the device. A hardware reset or a factory reset, for example, can be carried out without additional equipment.
Another special feature, which is already known from the UNIGATE CL protocol converter, is the brand labeling. Deutschmann offers you not only the option of configuring the device according to customer requirements and choosing different housing colors, but also the option of attaching your logo.

 

Deutschmann Script language - Ultimate Flexibility

For more complex applications, which cannot be represented via a pure configuration, we offer the Deutschmann Script language for the flexible, proprietary protocol connection between the UNIGATE module and the terminal device. With the help of the free Deutschmann software Protocol Developer, you control the data traffic between the application and the bus system without having to change the firmware of the terminal.
