Embedded version of the UNIGATE FALCON protocol converter/gateway series that can be integrated immediately

The EMBEDDED version of the new UNIGATE FALCON series includes the same functions that are also supported by the DIN rail module version. These include the RS232/RS422/RS485 serial interfaces available as standard, as well as the respective Industrial Ethernet or fieldbus interface.

Thanks to the low installation height of approx. 25 mm, the embedded version is also suitable for installation situations where space is limited and a redesign of the existing electronics is not planned. All modules for the different bus variants have an identical mechanical design and can therefore be used flexibly. They are mounted using 4 holes, each with a diameter of 3 mm. This makes it possible to retrofit end devices with the required Industrial Ethernet or fieldbus.

Communication between the serial connection and/or Industrial Ethernet/fieldbus is carried out either by configuring the device or with a script.

Standard protocols such as Modbus ASCII, Modbus RTU (master or slave), 3964 (R) and others can be configured accordingly via the web interface of the UNIGATE FALCON.

Scripts can be created with the free PC software tool 'Protocol Developer'. A script offers the greatest possible flexibility for complex tasks and also enables the implementation of proprietary protocols, for example. Own scripts can be developed on the basis of the available template scripts. Deutschmann Automation also offers the creation of a script as a service.

Deutschmann Script language - Ultimate Flexibility

For more complex applications, which cannot be represented via a pure configuration, we offer the Deutschmann Script language for the flexible, proprietary protocol connection between the UNIGATE module and the terminal device. With the help of the free Deutschmann software Protocol Developer, you control the data traffic between the application and the bus system without having to change the firmware of the terminal.
